Angel Reese Barbie Doll Debuts: Release Date, Reebok Shoe Collab, and Where to Buy

by | Jul 24, 2026

Today it was announced that Barbie will be introducing a doll in the likeness of professional basketball superstar, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and two-time WNBA All-Star Angel Reese.

It is a token of gratitude to celebrate her influence on sport, business, fashion, culture, and being a role model for the next generation of young girls. The Barbie Doll will be dressed in Reebok Angel Reese 1 Basketball Shoes in Barbie pink, along with a matching pair for Reese’s fans.

“Barbie honors role models who inspire girls to imagine what's possible, said Nathan Baynard, Vice President and Head of Barbie, Mattel.  “From her on-court achievements and entrepreneurial leadership to her tireless advocacy for girls, Angel Reese is helping children see that confidence, ambition, and resilience can open countless doors. We're proud to honor her through our Barbie Signature doll and collaboration with Reebok, giving fans new ways to celebrate Angel and all she represents.”

In a 2024 interview with Nick Hamilton of Nitecast Media during WNBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix, Reese was asked about possibly partnering with Mattel.

“Obviously, this comes from ongoing conversations — they've allowed me to use the name for about two years now, so I'm grateful for that. We haven't officially partnered yet, but there have been a lot of conversations happening, and hopefully that's coming soon,” said Reese.

“In the meantime, make sure you guys go get Sue Bird's Barbie — hers just came out, and I'm going to grab one myself. I've always been a Barbie fan, so I'm excited. My journey is going to come in its own time, and I'm not going to rush it."

Reese’s impact on the culture goes beyond the basketball court; she is also making a difference through her foundation, the Angel C. Reese Foundation, as she is always championing equity for girls all over the world by focusing on sports, education, and financial literacy.

Reese shared that it was a dream come true to have her own Barbie Doll in a statement to The Hoop Herald.

“Having my own Barbie doll is a true dream come true for me. It’s such an incredible honor because it's about showing girls that there are no limits to what they can achieve,” said Reese.

“I've never let anyone else define what's possible for me, and every challenge I’ve faced has only made me stronger. I hope this doll reminds girls to be unapologetically themselves, embrace every part of who they are, and go after their dreams with confidence.”

The Reebok Angel Reese 1 Basketball Shoes will be featured in new Barbie pink color accents, co-branded elements on the tongue, and will come in kids' and adults' sizes.

“We're proud to see her Barbie doll debut wearing Angel Reese 1 basketball shoes in this vibrant new Barbie colorway and to bring that same style directly to fans,”  said Todd Krinsky, CEO of Reebok.

“This moment celebrates Angel's impact on sport, style, and culture while giving fans the chance to match Angel's iconic look and be part of the moment."

On Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, from noon to 5 p.m. CT, The Angel Reese Dream Closet will be available for WNBA fans to experience Angel’s world by being able to take a photo in a life-size Barbie Box. There will also be limited-edition apparel that features a custom jersey, headband, and Barbie x Angel-inspired tees. The gear will also be available for purchase on TheAngelReese.com.

Angel will be debuting both her Barbie Doll and new shoe at the TOGETHXR House in Chicago, hosted by TOGETHXR, a company in which Reese has an ownership interest.

“Women’s sports are driving culture like never before, and this collaboration is proof of what’s possible when iconic brands invest in the athletes leading that movement. At TOGETHXR, we’re proud to bring together partners like Barbie and Reebok with trailblazers like Angel Reese, who recently joined our ownership group, to create moments that celebrate the power and influence of women’s sports,” shared Bailey Williamson, TOGETHXR Senior Vice President of Partnerships.

“We’re thrilled that TOGETHXR House is where fans will experience this launch firsthand. It’s more than a product release. It’s a celebration of confidence, individuality and the growing influence of women athletes across sport, style and culture, while showing the next generation just how expansive the future can be."

Starting today, Angel Reese’s Signature Barbie doll will be available for purchase exclusively at Target and online at Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Mattel Shop. Meanwhile, her shoe will be available starting August 3 at 10 a.m. ET on Reebok.com, and at DICK’s Sporting Goods and Foot Locker. Finally, Barbie will host the game day matchup on August 3rd between the Las Vegas Aces and  Atlanta Dream at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
