Two-time NBA champion OG Anunoby featured in the latest SKECHERS’s commercial.
In the commercial that debuted on August 17, 2026, the Knicks’ forward is promoting the SKECHERS Aero Burst running shoe.
“I know a key part of my training: hands-free Sketchers slip and zero burst, high-performance running shoes that help me put in the work,” said Anunoby in the commercial.
“Because while you've got to walk before you run, you've got to run before you ball. Sketchers arrow burst. It's comfort that performs.”
Last July, it was announced that Anunoby would be joining the shoe brand, according to an official press release for the company.

Anunoby was born in London, UK, but grew up in Missouri starting at the age of four years old. He would later make a name for himself on the basketball court in high school and would later be selected as a pre-season All American by Sporting News heading into his freshman year at the Indiana University. In 2017, we would declare for the NBA Draft and would be selected 23rd overall by the Toronto Raptors.
Two Years later the Raptors would win it all by beating the Golden State Warriors, and Anunoby became the first ever British born player to win an NBA championship in NBA History. His former teammate Kawhi Leonard was named Finals’ MVP. With that feat he joined elite company such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James as the only players to win the award with multiple teams.
During an interview with Scott Van Pelt, Leonard talked about making history by bringing the franchise’s first NBA championship.
“Just making history here, bringing an organization their first championship. It's something that the Rapids could build on, that we all could build on. You know, that was my goal. I wanted to get them to the Finals in their first year. That was our goal, and obviously once we got here, it was the next step to win it all."
Anunoby recently shared what the Knicks need to do to repeat as champions in 2027.
“Just focusing on ourselves, not worrying about anything else and not worrying about last season,” Anunoby told SI on the Knicks’ mindset heading into their title defense. “Building off of all the other seasons, learning from wins and losses and trying to improve each and every day.”
